Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, in a Facebook post, notified the finalization of the first operations for the repatriation of Albanians, returning respectively from Italy and Croatia.

“These operations will continue to repatriate the Albanians stranded in the European countries because of the measures taken in the fight against COVID-19.”- assured Cakaj in his post.

Also, Cakaj emphasized that the return in the country will be made possible for students, humanitarian cases or people with special needs, and also for the Albanian citizens that stayed over 90 days in the countries where they are stranded.

The head diplomat, through his post, instructed all the Albanian citizens, who need any necessary information, to contact directly the Diplomatic Representations of the Republic of Albania in the countries where they are or the emergency units in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in the numbers made available.
