The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, today had an online conversation with the Director- General for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations in the European Commission, Christian Danielsson.

In a Facebook post, Cakaj informed that, in this conversation it was especially emphasized the fact that, after the opening of negotiations with the European Union, the engagement to fulfill the obligations stemming from the process towards membership has to be increased.

“Also, we talked about the cooperation between Albania and EU in the common fight against COVID-19 and the process of reconstruction after the November 2019 earthquake.”- added the Head of Albanian Diplomacy Cakaj.

Concluding his post, Cakaj ensured that the communication with EU is continuous in these conditions and the advancement towards the EU is certain, so is the common fight against the pandemic.
