The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, informed in a Facebook post that today three very important agreements were signed with the Republic of Kosovo in the field of foreign policy and European integration.

Firstly, with the Minister of European Integration, Blerim Reka, it was signed the agreement for exchanging experiences and expertise in the matters of organizing the responsible integration structures, the process of the approximation of legislation and general political cooperation in the framework of the goal for membership in the European Union.

“From now on, both Ministries will also organize a joint conference annually to discuss and elaborate many issues related to the European integration.”- Cakaj emphasized in his post.

Secondly, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, it was signed the agreement for strengthening public diplomacy, among others, by determining a concrete list of activities to promote the image and products of both countries, and the unification of the cultural activities calendar. Also, the agreement for coordinated work in the field of Foreign Policy, which includes the establishment of a team with special representatives to protect the interests of both countries, was finalized.

Furthermore, the Head of the Albanian Diplomacy Cakaj, informed that via an official letter, asked Minister Konjufca for the continuation of the project to establish the embassies and consulates with common spaces.

“Despite the pandemic, our work has not stopped and our commitment to maximize the cooperation with Kosovo is inalienable.”- Cakaj concluded his post.
