The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, took part in the discussion on the topic: “What does it mean to open the negotiations for membership in the European Union for Albania and Northern Macedonia?”, in a panel together with the Foreign Minister of Northern Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, and the Minister of State for Europe of Germany, Michael Roth.

The focus of the discussion was not only the inalienable importance of opening negotiations for Albania and Northern Macedonia, but also the importance of the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union.

“Quite simply: Albania will continue the path of internal reforms and without any hesitation will move forward towards membership in the European Union!” – emphasized Cakaj in a Facebook post regarding the discussion.
