Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, through a Facebook post, called on all Albanians living in Bujanoc that on July, 1st, there should be a massive voter turnout and strong support for the United Valley list in the centers where there will be a repeat of the elections.

This, according to Chief Diplomat Cakaj, is essential not only for the third term, but also to preserve the Albanian spirit in Bujanoc. Therefore, given the fact that Kosovo and Albania have strongly supported this list, Cakaj calls for support until the end of this joint venture, to the benefit of Albanians.

Also, Cakaj points out that after the last visit to the Valley, the Government of Albania has provided the necessary support to the Albanian National Council to conclude the tariff procedures of the necessary textbooks, according to the legal provisions in place there.

This additional support comes after 24 titles of new textbooks have been approved, which will be used to teach the Albanian language in the Preshevë Valley.

“Obviously, given the difficult situation of Albanians in the Valley, it should be noted that there is still much, much, much more to be done.” – added Cakaj.

Also, the Chief Diplomat congratulates the Minister of Education, Besa Shahini, for the excellent work in strengthening the Albanian teaching, in the Preshevë Valley.

“We will continue with a coordinated approach and increased attention to the issues of Albanians in the Valley,” Cakaj said at the end of his post.
