Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, welcomed in a meeting in Tirana, the Mayor of Skënderaj, Mr. Bekim Hamëz Jashari and the Mayor of Drenas, Mr. Ramiz Tushë Lladrovcin.

The conversation focused on the work done by the Chairs in the heart of Drenica, the justice and purity of the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the inalienable importance of cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania.

Also, in a Facebook post regarding the meeting, Cakaj stressed that an important part of the discussion was the necessity of preserving the Albanian majority in Bujanoc. The latter, according to Chief Diplomat Cakaj, is both a historical task and an institutional need for the Albanians of the Preshevë Valley.

“The sublime sacrifice of the Jashari and Lladrovci family through generations for the freedom of Kosovo should serve as a source of inspiration for all Albanians everywhere,” concluded his post, the acting Minister Cakaj.
