The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, attended today the last high-level meeting of the Central European Initiative for 2020.

Cakaj informed via a Facebook post that the discussion focused on increasing cooperation to prevent the possible spread of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the inalienable importance of the membership of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union and implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

“Albania will continue the substantive work in the framework of all organizations to strengthen regional cooperation,” concluded Chief Diplomat Cakaj.
