Today the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in Germany, Johann Wadephul.

The interlocutors shared the same views on the significant progress that Albania has made in terms of implementing the obligations prior to the First Intergovernmental Conference.

During the meeting, they also discussed the steps that Albania has taken to finalize the electoral reform, based on the will of the parties and in accordance with the Council’s conclusions in March 2020.

“Grateful for the support so far and the readiness to further deepen cooperation, in view of Albania’s European future.” – Cakaj concluded his reaction regarding the meeting.
