Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, reacted regarding the establishment of the interstate fund for financial support of the Valley. According to Chief Diplomat Cakaj, this marks a new political momentum in the efforts of both governments of the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo, to improve the situation of Albanians in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medveda.

“The Presevo Valley is the most underdeveloped Albanian majority region in Serbia and the Albanians of the Presevo Valley are one of the most underrepresented national minorities in the region. Therefore, the institutional, diplomatic and financial support for the Valley today is not only an inalienable national duty, but also a necessary political action. “- said Cakaj in his post.

Further, Cakaj informed that soon the two governments will take some other measures in support of the Presevo Valley.
