The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Stef Blok.

The discussion between the two counterparts focused on the Albania European path. Cakaj informed Blok in detail, on the progress that Albania has made in fulfilling the obligations for holding the First Intergovernmental Conference.

“Our commitment is to fulfill all the necessary obligations for the progress in the negotiation process of the European Integration.” – express Cakaj via a Facebook post regarding the phone call.
Cakaj, also stressed that the Netherlands positively assesses the achievement of Albania so far, in the five key priorities and will continue to support the enlargement of the European Union in the Western Balkans.

“Albania will only continue to progress on its path towards the European Union.” – concluded the chief diplomat Cakaj.
