Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Via a Facebook post, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj,  announced the agreement signed at the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla. Through this agreement, the Republic of Albania and Kosovo will officially have a joint consular space in the city of Struga.

“As symbolic as this action may seem, it is nevertheless tangible evidence that the implementation of the project of joint use of embassy or consulate space between Kosovo and Albania is continuing. This project must continue at all costs in any country where there are objective possibilities.”- said Cakaj in the post.

Moreover, Cakaj stressed that the agreement signed by the Albanian political parties in the Presevo Valley, to act as a single force in Medvedja carries a special importance. According to the Head of Diplomacy, until there is internal unity and mobilization, the commitment of the two governments against the process of  passivizing of addresses will become stronger.

“Meanwhile we will continue our effort to increase political and institutional support, especially for the Albanians in Medvedja, Bujanovac and Presevo,” concluded his reaction Chief Diplomat Cakaj.
