On December 16, 2020, a meeting of the Partnership Commission of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries of the US-Adriatic Charter (A-5) was held via a video conference. This meeting was chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina, that during this year has held the chairmanship of this initiative. The meeting was attended by member states and observers of the US-Adriatic Charter, such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, USA, Kosovo, Serbia and Slovenia.

Our country was represented in this important meeting by the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sokol Dedja.

The meeting was focused on strengthening regional cooperation between A-5 member countries and observers, in order to meet common security challenges focusing on the current pandemic. Attention was also paid to the efforts for the Euro-Atlantic integration of our region. In his intervention, the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sokol Dedja, expressed the need to further strengthen regional cooperation to meet current security challenges, as well as the need to move towards full Euro-Atlantic integration of the region. Deputy Minister Dedja also stressed the need for Kosovo to join the A-5, arguing that this will contribute to further strengthening regional cooperation in meeting the challenges, as well as its full Euro-Atlantic integration.

Next year the presidency of this regional initiative is taken over by Croatia.
