Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Netherlands, Lirim Greiçevci, to discuss in detail about the latest events at the Special Court.

Via a Facebook post, Cakaj stated that the war crimes in Kosovo, military and political personalities of KLA, were investigated and judged by UMNIK, EULEX, the Tribunal of Hague, local justice system and once more by the Special Court.

“While, the crimes against humanity, the ethnic cleansing and the genocide of Serbia in Kosovo, not only have they not been prosecuted enough but today those are not even mentioned at all; and the international community generally stays unpronounced about them”- Chief Diplomat Cakaj writes on Facebook.

According to the Minister Cakaj, Serbia needs the International Tribunal and Special Courts for all the cruelties committed in Kosovo, not Kosovo and its liberation war.

“Nobody can write the history of the Republic of Kosovo and Albanians”- Cakaj said in his post.

To conclude, the Acting Minister Cakaj emphasized than Kosovo will always have the support and solidarity of Albania in these circumstances.
