Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has published on social networks a video about the consular service in the Albanian diplomatic missions around the world.

Minister Xhaçka emphasized that only within this year, the service for obtaining identity cards and biometric passports for Albanian citizens living and working abroad is offered in six other diplomatic missions, increasing the number to 14 in total.

According to the minister, the consular service to Albanians remains an absolute priority of MEFA’s work, while she stated that they are working to provide this service even in the most remote places where Albanian citizens live and work.

So far, over 65,000 applications have been registered through the e-Albania portal, while 481 citizens of special categories have been assisted by employees of consular offices.

The service for obtaining Identity cards and Biometric passports is currently offered at the Albanian Embassies in Athens, Rome, London, Brussels, Vienna, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, as well as at the Consulates in Thessaloniki, Milan, Munich, New York, Bari and Istanbul.
