Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Megi Fino, participated in the second night of the “Israel-Albania Cultural Festival”, under the framework of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During her speech, Deputy Minister Fino praised the humanist act of the Albanian state in protecting and sheltering Jewish families, setting out these as essential part of the culture and the code of hospitality of the Albanian tradition.

According to her, the festival enables dialogue between the peoples of Albania and Israel, between cultures and what the two nations can promote together in a wider international context.

“I am pleased, to greet the cultural festival Albania – Israel organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two nations. This festival enables dialog between our people, our cultures, and what our countries could promote together in a wider international context. With their act of saving Jewish during the Second World War, the code of `besa` proved to the world that no matter how small your country is, it is important to have a great soul,” wrote on Twitter Deputy Minister Fino.
