During her stay in New York, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held a meeting with the Special Representative of the United Kingdom, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon.

Minister Xhaçka thanked Lord Ahmad for the support that the United Kingdom has shown in the election of Albania as a non-permanent member of the Security Council.

The Albanian chief diplomat praised the good cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, and confirmed the readiness to work together on common priorities.

“Constructive meeting with the Representative of the United Kingdom, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon on Albania’s preparations for the Security Council. Looking forward to working together on shared priorities, building upon the long tradition of cooperation and friendship between the two countries’’, wrote the minister on social networks after the meeting.
