Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the launching event of the Joint Regional Project, EU- Western Balkan Fund.

Minister Xhaçka expressed her support to the Western Balkan Fund, naming it as an important instrument that aims promoting regional cooperation.

“The Fund has since then grown, although I would personally be very happy to see it grow even further and take upon itself an even more ambitious role. Because what this instrument is doing, is investing in real cooperation, in real civil society links, in real human relations. And it is bonds like these that truly bring countries together. So that’s why the Fund has in me a staunch supporter because I believe in its mission and I believe in its method. Every partnership, every friendship, every successful idea or project that the Fund helps take root among Albanians and Kosovars and Montenegrins and Bosnians and North Macedonians and Serbs, is a contribution to a better region, more stable, more peaceful, more prosperous said Minister in her word.

In conclusion, the Chief diplomat underlined that EU has to be focused in the Western Balkans and to support it the same way as WBF.
