The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, had a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Tileuberdi Mukhtar in New York.

Minister Xhaçka and Minister Mukhtar signed the visa waiver agreement between Albania and Kazakhstan.

According to Minister Xhaçka, this agreement will help to strengthen bilateral cooperation and freedom of movement.

In the Kazakh capital Astana, there is a significant presence of Albanians, of around 300-400 people.

3–4 thousand Albanians work in Kazakhstan per year.
