The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, had a meeting with the Canadian Speaker of the House of Commons, Anthony Rota in Tirana.

Minister Xhaçka praised the support of Canada to our country, calling it a valuable friend and partner for Albania.

Minister Xhaçka and Anthony Rota agreed to further advance the cooperation between Albania and Canada in new areas that will benefit the people of the two countries.

This is the highest-level visit that takes place from Canadian high official to our country, during which, in addition to high-level meetings, Anthony Rota will also address the plenary session of the Parliament of Albania.

His visit comes within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Canada.
