Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, who is participating in the Munich Security Conference, met this afternoon with the British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, James Cleverly.

The Minister and State Secretary discussed ways for the concrete implementation of the Joint Communiqué of the two Prime Ministers in all the areas, such as the implementation of the legal framework for cooperation in the fight against illegal immigration, the strengthening of economic cooperation, etc.

They also discussed the prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Albanian chief diplomat, the focus of the cooperation between the two countries should be broader than the issue of emigration and include the growth of economic relations, British investments and cooperation in concrete fields of energy.
