Olta Xhaçka, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs attended the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023 (URC23), held in London on June 21–22, 2023.

As she underscored that by supporting the fight for independence and the future of Ukraine, we are supporting the future of the entire world, Minister Xhaçka emphasized that Albania will continue to provide help to that country.

“Albania will exert every effort. Prime Minister Rama has pledged, together with Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia to help in the reconstruction of Irpin. The Albanian chief diplomat stated, “We will offer assistance at the local level, just as we will continue to offer our assistance to help Ukraine defend itself or with our assistance at the diplomatic level.

To help the economic recovery and prosperity of Ukraine, this conference—the second of its kind—brought together governments, civil society, and the private sector. At this event, 60 nations took part, with heads of state and foreign ministers attending from 40 of those nations.

Minister Xhaçka met with counterparts from North Macedonia, Montenegro, the UK, Austria, Croatia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova during which time she discussed security and european integration-related topics.
