Arian Jaupllari – Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

Mr. Arian Jaupllari was born in Korça, on 22.5.1960. He is married to Mrs. Luiza Jaupllari and they have two children: Enxhino and Pjerino.

He graduated from “Jani Minga” secondary school, Pharmacy profile in Vlorë, and then completed his higher studies in Pharmacy at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Medicine in 1985. In 2005, he completed his second cycle studies in Pharmacy, University of Tirana. In 2010, he completed his Doctoral studies at the University of Medicine, Tirana.

Mr. Jaupllari has had a long commitment and experience in the field of Pharmaceuticals, holding the position of director of the Directorate of Health Care Insurance in Korça (2002-2004), that of the director of the Pharmaceutical Directorate, in the Ministry of Health (2004- 2006), the President of the Order of Pharmacists of Albania (2006-2013) as well as the position of Chairman of the Drug Price Commission.

He has carried out a series of trainings, qualifications and other international activities of a scientific and technical nature. Also, there is an important engagement in the written and visual media as well as a series of active participation in symposia.

Mr. Jaupllari, in the local elections of 1992, was elected mayor of Moglicë Municipality in Korçë (1992-1996). From 1996-1999, he was chairman of the Moglica Municipality Council in Korça. In the general elections of 2021, he was a candidate for deputy in the Korça district.

In addition to the above experiences, he contributed as a teacher at the General High School in Korça (1987-1989), a lecturer at the University of Korçë (1-year Nursing Program) and at the University of Medicine, Tirana from 2001-2012 .

Before taking the post of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Jaupllari has been engaged in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development since 2018, first as an Advisor to the Minister in (2018-2019), then General Director in the Directorate of General Regulatory and Compliance in Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (2019-2022). During this period, he was the co-author of the Veterinary Reform, following it from initiation to successful implementation.

Mr. Jaupllari has a very good command of the English language.
