Orieta Aliaj – Advisor

Orjeta Aliaj was born in Tirana, Albania on May 14, 1987.

She completed her higher law studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana, where she graduated in 2009. Since October 2017, Orjeta holds the title of lawyer and has 11+ years of experience as a lawyer in the private market and public administration, where her areas of expertise are: Human Rights, Gender Equality, Women’s Rights, Project Management and Coordination, Execution of Bank Loans and other executive titles, land use rights, territorial development, procedures for permits and licenses, expropriations and compensations and drafting legislation.

In 2010, Orjeta was engaged as a lawyer in the project “Study on Women and violence against them” as a lawyer at the “Open Society for Albania” Foundation; and from 2011-2013 he worked in the private enforcement sector.

In 2013, Orjeta worked at the National Spatial Planning Agency, as a legislation specialist responsible for advice, assistance and supervision of the Agency’s work. In 2016, Orjeta was engaged as a lawyer at the Territorial Development Agency where she provided legal support to all sectors and directorates until September 2021.

Orjeta possesses very good analytical and management skills in the field of communication, management and coordination of projects and public relations. She is very well versed in Italian and English. She is currently an advisor for the media at the Cabinet of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
