Legal basis of creation

They were created by Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 515, dated 19.07.2006 “On the restructuring of Scientific Research Institutes under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection”

Duties of drainage boards with funding from the state budget

The main tasks of QTTBs include:

• Identification, testing, adaptation and introduction into agricultural practices of new methods and materials (inputs) for the country.
• Preparation of technological packages for the main agricultural crops and animal breeding.
• Research and testing in agricultural farms for the problems raised by the farmers of the respective regions.
• Training for agricultural specialists, farmers, students of agricultural sciences and other interested subjects.
• Provision of technical expertise for advisory service structures and farmers.
• Demonstration of new technologies of cultivation of agricultural crops and livestock breeding.
• Preparation and publication of informative materials for agricultural specialists and farmers.
• Information support of policy-making by MBUMK in the field of agriculture, food, consumer protection and rural development.

• Forage crops, beans, cattle, pigs, poultry and integrated farm management;
• Land and water services;
• Other needs and priorities of the region.

Agricultural Technologies Transfer Center, Lushnjë

• Vegetables in greenhouses and open fields;
• Wheat;
• Other needs and priorities of the region.

Agricultural Technologies Transfer Center, Vlora

• Nuclear fruit trees, olive, vineyards, citrus;
• Other needs and priorities of the region.

Agricultural Technologies Transfer Center, Korça

• Small livestock;
• Seed fruit trees, potato, barley;
• Other needs and priorities of the region.
