Nina Guga – Deputy Minister of Education and Sports

Mrs. Nina Guga was born in the city of Fier in 1960.

She has a career as a director, teacher, lecturer and author of textbooks for the science of Chemistry. During the years 1979-1983, he completed his higher studies at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana, Biology-Chemistry branch.

With over thirty-five years in the field of education, Mrs. Guga has a long and successful experience in the education of generations. In twenty years as a teacher of the historical “Qemal Stafa” Gymnasium, she has led the subject team of Chemistry and Biology. In the years 2014-2019, she held the position of Director of this high school, years in which she ranked the school as the winner of many prizes, national Olympiads and international projects.

Parallel to the educational experience, Mrs. Guga has made her contribution as an external collaborator at the Institute of Education Development (now ASCAP) and at the Educational Services Center (QSHA), where she had the opportunity to be part of the working groups in the design of curriculum programs and national exam tests. Thanks to her excellent work, she has been awarded various certificates as a trainer in the field of education.

During the years 2009-2013, Ms. Nina Guga was a lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Master of Teaching in the subject “Chemistry Curriculum in Gymnasium” and “Professional Practices”.

Since 2008, she is the co-author of nine textbooks on the subject of Chemistry, teacher’s methodical books and exercise books for both cycles. In 2018, Mrs. Guga has also been part of the translation and adaptation team of Chemistry with Elective 12 from Oxford University Press.

Mrs. Nina Guga is married to Mr. Klement Guga and together they have two children.
