Sports Service Center

 

Sports Services Center is a public, budgetary legal entity, under the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, created pursuant to decision No. 149, dated 24.2.2016, of the Council of Ministers, “On the organization and operation of the Sports Services Agency (ASHS)”, and order no. 59, dated 05.04.2016 of the Prime Minister “On the approval of the structure and organization of the Sports Services Agency”.

The Sports Services Center offers services to Albanian sports federations, associations and sports clubs that require its support, according to the infrastructural and financial capacity. The realization of these services is done according to the by-laws in force and on the basis of prior agreements between the parties.

Medical control in sports

1. No athlete can join a federation and participate in sports activities organized by it without presenting the medical certificate that allows him to practice the sport he has chosen. Affiliated athletes are provided with their own medical card.

2. The medical check-up of athletes is done by licensed doctors, at least once every six months, to measure vital parameters. Special sports, due to their special nature, provide for more frequent medical checks in the operating regulations.

3. Medical control for all categories of national teams is done by the responsible structure of medical control and rehabilitation at the Sports Service Center and National Team Preparation.

4. Sports event organizers bear administrative responsibility for the activation of athletes without a medical card in sports competitions
