PRIVACY POLICY

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth collects and processes personal data in support of “Law No. 69/2012 “On the pre-university education system in the Republic of Albania”, “Law no. 9741, dated 21.5.2007 on higher education in the Republic of Albania, amended by laws no. 9832, dated 12.11.2007 no. 10 307, dated 22.7.2010 no. 10493, dated 15.12.2011 no. 82/2013, dated 14.2.2013”, “Law no. 9376, dated 21.4.2005 “On sport”, other legal and by-laws in force for the field of action of MASR determined according to “Decision no. 843, dated 27.9.2013, of the Council of Ministers, “On determining the scope of state responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Sports” (amended), as well as in accordance with the provisions of “Law No. 9887, dated 10.03.2008, amended by Law No. 48/2012, amended by law no. 120/2014 “On the protection of personal data”.

a)Complainants against actions or inactions of MASR or subordinate institutions

When an administrative complaint or a request/complaint is submitted by any interested party, it is recorded in a special register by the protocol employee. The personal data that is collected is only used for the complaint or request/complaint review process. This data is kept in the protocol in a secure environment with limited access.

b)Applicants for services provided by MASR

MASR offers public services such as “Recognition of foreign diplomas”, “Legalization of secondary school diplomas”, “Application for the opening of educational institutions”, “Application for the benefit of the excellence fund”, “Registration of academic titles”, “Granting permission for the operation of Non-Public Educational Institutions and Non-Public Complementary Educational Institutions”, “Registration of diplomas and certificates” for Higher Education and Scientific Research”, “Obtaining permission for the start of the academic activity of Non-Public HEIs”, “Opening of new Doctorate study programs in Higher Education Institutions”, “Opening of new study programs of the first and second cycle, of non-university study programs, of a professional nature”. Requests and applications for the aforementioned services received from interested parties are recorded in a special register by the protocol employee. The personal data that is collected is used only for the review process of the complaint or request/application. These data are kept in the protocol in a secure environment with limited access only by authorized persons according to the legal and by-laws that regulate the relevant procedure.

c)Visitors to our website

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth has its own website www.arsimi.gov.al. This page provides the general public with various information on the activity of MASR as well as the updated legal framework. MASR does not collect information from website users.

The infrastructure on which the MASR website is built is part of the GovNet government network and is physically stored/administered at the ANA Government Services Center. The MASR website is administered by the IT sector of AKSHI under the MASR.

This privacy policy covers only the www.arsimi.gov.al site and not the other sites linked to this site. Changes or updates to this privacy policy will be announced immediately on this page.
