Supreme Sports Council

The High Council of Sports is an advisory body, under the minister responsible for sports, which participates in the drafting and development of policies for sports, created in support of Article 9 of Law no. 79/2017 “For Sport”, with a structural composition defined by Decision no. 255, dated 9.5.2018 of the Council of Ministers, “On determining the structural composition and remuneration of the members of the High Sports Council”, as follows:

a) Representative of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, member;

b) Representative of the Albanian Football Federation, member;

c) Representative of the Albanian Basketball Federation, member;

ç) Representative of the Albanian Volleyball Federation, member;

d) Representative of the Scientific Research Institute of Sport, member;

dh) Two representatives from business, member;

e) Three sports personalities, members;

ë) A jurist, member;

f) A sports journalist, member;

g) A specialist from MASR, secretary.

 

The nominative composition of the Supreme Council of Sports is determined by order no. 337, dated 20.06.2018, of the Minister responsible for sports, “On the appointment of members of the High Sports Council”

Supreme Sports Council

1. The High Sports Council is an advisory body, next to the minister responsible for sports, which participates in the drafting and development of sports policies.
2. The structural composition and remuneration of the members of the Supreme Sports Council are determined by the decision of the Council of Ministers.
3. The minister responsible for sports is the chairman of the Supreme Sports Council and appoints its members. The minister responsible for sports approves the regulation of the organization and operation of the High Sports Council.
