Ogerta Manastirliu was born on December 31, 1978, in the city of Tirana. From September 2023, she holds the post of Minister of Education and Sports.

Ms. Manastirliu holds the title of “Doctor of Science”, in “Analytical and Environmental Chemistry”. She completed her studies at the University of Tirana, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, General Chemistry branch, where she graduated and received the title “Master of Science”, in the same branch. She has been engaged as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Ms. Manastirliu held the position of Minister of Health and Social Protection, in the period 2017-2023.

In 2004, he started his professional career in the Municipality of Tirana, initially in the Project Coordination Directorate. During the years 2005-2011, he directed the Directorate of Housing and Social Service. In this task, Mrs. Manastirliu has been one of the main contributors to the design and implementation of the “Local Social Housing Strategy”.

In the period 2011-2013, she was engaged as an expert for the management and coordination of social policies and human resources for various national and international organizations, such as UNFPA, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, etc.

In the period September 2013 – March 2017, Mrs. Manastirliu directed the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center in Tirana.

Since 2017, she is part of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, as a deputy of the District of Tirana in the Parliament of Albania.

In the elections of April 25, 2021, she was elected deputy of the District of Tirana in the Assembly of Albania.

Ms. Manastirliu is a member of the Presidency of the Socialist Party.
