Rovena Elmazi – Advisor

Mrs. Rovena Elmazi was born in 1982 in the city of Fier. She completed her third cycle studies at NSA “Vassil Levski” in Bulgaria and holds the title of “Doctor of Science” in Sports Management. She attended the Master’s studies in the branch “Public Law”, with a focus on the study of “Public Procurement Legislation in Albania”, a comparative look with legislation in the EU.

She attended Bachelor studies in “Law” at the Faculty of Law at the University of Tirana. Also, she studied at the “Vojo Kushi” Sports Academy, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in “Physical Education Teacher”.

Mrs. Elmazi has been part of several important qualification programs such as “Lead Albania”, conceived based on the White House Program for Leadership in the United States of America; “Leadership and Character in Uncertain Times”, organized by the Harvard Kennedy School; as well as the “Leadership Program”, from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Brussels.

Also Mrs. Elmazi has won a scholarship from the US Department of Sports Diplomacy Division for the “Championship Principles” training program.

In addition to working as an advisor in the Ministry of Education and Sports, Mrs. Elmazi also has a long experience as a lecturer at the “Sports and Tourism Management Department” at the Sports University of Tirana.

She has conducted a series of scientific researches based on her field of expertise in the field of Sports Organization and Management. In addition to her academic experience, she has also been the leader of several national and international projects, as well as having a long career as an elite athlete.

Mrs. Rovena Elmazi holds the position of Advisor to the Minister of Education and Sports since November 1, 2021 and covers the field of Sports and relations with organizations in the Ministry of Education and Sports.
