Financing of Sports in Albania

Article 13 (ligji 79/2017 “Për Sportin”, i ndryshuar)

Financing of sports organizations

1. 1. Sports federations, the Albanian National Olympic Committee and the National Anti-Doping Organization are financed with funds provided by the state budget in the form of transfers, provided for in the state budget, as well as from other legal sources.
2. 2. The financing of the Olympic sports federations, the Albanian National Olympic Committee and the National Anti-Doping Organization is determined by a joint instruction of the minister responsible for finance and the minister responsible for sports
3. 3. The ministry responsible for sports finances non-Olympic federations with projects from its budget in the form of transfers for activities proposed by them, taking into account the social, economic and environmental impact.
4. 4. The ministry responsible for sports supervises and controls the activity and administration of the transfer of the state budget in all sports organizations that have benefited from public funds.

 

Article 19

Sports associations

4. Sports associations can also benefit from funding from the central or local government bodies, in accordance with the provisions of the Albanian legislation in force, through transfers and from other sources.

 

Article 20

Sports Societies

4. Sports clubs can also benefit from funding from the central or local government bodies, in accordance with the provisions of the Albanian legislation in force, through transfers and from other sources.

4. Sports clubs can benefit from funding from central or local government bodies, in accordance with the provisions of the Albanian legislation in force, through transfers and from other sources.

 

Article 39

Financing from the state budget

1. State Budget funds for sports are determined in the annual State Budget.

2. Financial resources from local government, sports organizations, international sports federations, sports betting, donations, sponsorships, television rights, advertising and any other legal source are also included in the financing of sports.
